What % CLP Label should I be using?

When making your candles, wax melts or diffusers, you will be using a variation of oil percentages with your base. You need to ensure that the CLP labels for your home fragrance products match this percentage.

Your CLP label can over estimate the percentage, (e.g. you can use a 10% label if you are using 5% of oil) but it cannot under estimate it (e.g. you cannot use a 5% CLP label when you are using 10% of oil).

It is generally recommended that you use 4-10% of fragrance oil when making candles and wax melts. Therefore a 10% CLP label will cover everything under 10%, and can be used for your candles and wax melts.

Diffuser percentages tend to be higher – anything up to 25%. In these cases, you will need to use a 25% CLP label for percentages above 10% and below 25%.
