The information required on a CLP label depends on the fragrance oil being used in your wax melts and candles. Not every fragrance oil is the same – some contain hazardous chemicals (and therefore require CLP pictograms), and others don’t. Therefore not every CLP label is the same, and you cannot use the same CLP label for all of your products if they contain different fragrance oils.
Each fragrance will have its own different ingredients, subsequently resulting in each oil having its own unique CLP information.
If you are using the oil at a percentage of 10% or less, then yes you can – a 10% CLP label will cover you for your wax melt and candles that are using the same oil, from the same supplier. (Just because one oil has the same name as another supplier, does not mean it has the same ingredients).
However, do keep in mind that candles come with their own seperate requirements in addition to CLP regulations, so you will also need candle safety information and pictograms on a safety sticker. We include candle pictograms as standard on our CLP labels for candles (these are not include on wax melt CLP labels)
